Beginner Theatre Dance with Elise Melendez, Motivated Movers
Join Motivated Movers in a Beginner Theatre Dance class designed for Adult Beginners dancing from the comfort of their home. This class consists of a short warm-up and then some feel good musical theatre choreography.
All are welcome to join. This class is designed for new dancers, accessible to artists and movement lovers alike, and for ages 15+

As co-founder and executive director, Elise is committed to empowering artists to harness movement as a path for authentic storytelling while building pedagogically sound and effective technique. With a bachelor’s in American Dance Pedagogy from Oklahoma City University and a master’s in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management from Columbia College Chicago, Elise has over a decade of experience in arts education and management, guiding artists from Chicago to New York and college to Broadway in embracing movement.
Beyond her work with Motivated Movers, Elise continues her commitment to the dance community as managing director of Denman Theatre & Dance Co, a New York based company dedicated to developing hybrid theatrical works using movement/dance as a primary storytelling device.
