Contemporary with Cora Cliburn, Robert Moses’ Kin
Cora’s contemporary class focuses on re-centering and lengthening the body while finding ways to use and expand beyond our current unconventional dance spaces (from kitchens to grassy fields!). This class moves quickly through technical exercises to develop strength and energetic awareness, and culminates in a phrase exploring rhythm and groove in Robert Moses’ unique vocabulary.
Cora Cliburn (Contemporary) grew up in Santa Fe, NM, and has danced with ODC/Dance, Post:Ballet, Liv Schaffer, and ARCOS Dance, among others. She was chosen by DANCE Magazine as one of “25 to Watch” and her ensemble work with Post:Ballet in Robert Dekkers’ Yours is Mine was nominated for an Isadora Duncan Dance Award in 2016. Cora graduated from Stanford University with honors in Environmental Anthropology and minors in Theater and Performance Studies and East Asian Studies in 2019. While at Stanford, she worked closely with Alex Ketley and Diane Frank, for whom she was a Teaching Assistant for Advanced Contemporary Technique. Cora has danced with Robert Moses’ Kin since 2016.
