Described as “anything but conventional” by Dance Magazine, he believes that the creation of art can be a valuable research method, a concept that propels his work forever forward. Teddy’s wide-ranging background helps inform his unique movement style. He has worked with Sidra Bell, Douglas Becker, Netta Yerushalmy, Curt Haworth, Kate Sicchio, and many other respected dance innovators. In 2017, Teddy completed a choreographic mentorship with Doug Varone.
His unconventional creative approach makes Teddy a highly sought-after instructor at studios, workshops and conventions around the world. In New York, he is on faculty at Peridance Capezio Center and guest faculty at Broadway Dance Center. He is also a guest instructor at Edge PAC and Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles; Studio 68, Husky’s, and Pineapple Dance Center in London, England and The Underground Dance Centre in Toronto, Canada. Most recently, he set work on students at his alma mater, the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
In 2013, Teddy completed a B.F.A. in ballet performance with honors at UArts. Upon graduation, Teddy was awarded the university’s prestigious Stella Moore Prize for four years of achievement in dance. Since then, Teddy has presented acclaimed work throughout North America.
