Intermediate Tap with Demi Remick, DancePlug
Celebrate National Tap Dance Day with your DancePlug Family and tune into an intermediate tap class taught by professional dancer, teacher, and choreographer, Demi Remick! Demi will be taking over the DancePlug IG (@danceplug) so grab your tap shoes and let’s dance. Class will run about 45 minutes long, including a follow-along warm up, 2-3 exercises, a quick combination, and a Q&A!
Demi Remick is a YoungArts Gold Award winner in Dance, one of Dance Magazine’s 2014 Top-25-To-Watch, a Presidential Scholar in the Arts nominee, a Groove master teacher & adjudicator, SUNY Purchase’s Junior Dance Award Recipient and a Capezio Athlete. Demi has toured worldwide as the tap dance soloist for Postmodern Jukebox, performing at venues such as the Sydney Opera House & Radio City Music Hall. She has also worked with Emma Portner & The Flock, Bill T. Jones at the Kennedy Center, and Monica Bill Barnes & Company. She is an alumnus of the Tap Program at Jacob’s Pillow, San Francisco Conservatory of Dance & the Juilliard Summer Dance Program. Demi received her BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Dance where she performed works by Azure Barton, José Limón, Alexandra Beller, Trisha Brown, Xan Burley and Doug Varone.
