Latin Fusion with Jessica Recinos, LINES Dance Center
Jessica Maria Recinos is a Latina dancer and choreographer born and raised in San Francisco’s Excelsior District. She has been teaching and dancing professionally for 9 years. Jessica has partnered with various Bay Area dance establishments such as Alonzo King LINES Dance Center, ODC, and Dance Mission Theater where she’s hosted classes, workshops and performances. Jessica has creatively collaborated with various arts organizations such as San Francisco Ballet DISC Program, AEABA Professional Developments, LEAP Arts in Education, Young Audiences, Handful Players, Loco Bloco, and Dance Mission Youth Program, where she’s shared her passion and purpose for dance education with the Bay Area youth community and beyond. Jessica has trained and performed with dance companies such as Loco Bloco Drum and Dance Ensemble, directed by Pedro Gomez, Fog Na Roupa directed by Metzi Henriquez and Jose Rivas, Arenas Dance Company directed by Susana Arenas Pedroso, Aguas De Bahia directed by Tania Santiago, Mind Over Matter directed by Allan Frias, Global Street Dance Collective directed by Rashad Pridgen and fLEE Dance directed by Frankie Lee III. She has dedicated her recent years as Founder and Artistic Director of Rising Rhythm (2014) where she continues to incorporate all of her disciplines to cultivate a true arts family within her ever evolving community. Rising Rhythm has been featured in Asian Arts Museum Magazine, INSIDER, KPFA, Dance Mission D.I.R.T Festival, Brava! Women for the Arts Baile en La Calle, El Tecolote Newspaper, Kimpton Hotel PRIDE campaign, Levi’s 2019 PRIDE Campaign, PBS: KQED Arts and the most recent KTVU “Sf Loves Learning” SIP programming in partnership with SF Ballet DISC program.
