Movement Collage with Aya Wilson

Aug 11 2020

Eastern Time
10:00 am

Through a mix of structured phrases and improvisation, we will move through pathways that emphasize intent over arrival. We’ll take the time to welcome our spaces into our dance, and let the space support our bodies and minds into voicing movement. We’ll embody textures and consider relationships with our surroundings and each other. Class will culminate with play of movement material while both following personal desire and witnessing, collaborating on the collage created between us.

Aya Wilson is a dance artist residing in Brooklyn, NY. She has taught at Gibney Dance Center (NYC). Aya is originally from Normal, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Iowa with a BFA in Dance and minor in Japanese.
